Well Sgl was awesome definitely the perfect lan, played a fair few games as there was always servers running, 25 halflife type mod servers at any one time, 8 battlefield mod servers at any one time, and between 3 and 5 quake type servers, awesome. There was also a good mix of dc'ing...heheh
and next lan they hope to have ADSL so we can get webpages and use icq, rockin...actually typed this at the lan and saved it in a text file for later blogging heheh.
The laners here seemed somewhat more professional most if not all cases were heavily modded, with led fans coming out the ying yang.
I actually faired fairly well in the quake 3 torny, came about 10th out of 35, it was first too 500frags, and I had almost 200 at games end, it was a usual q3 map but with only hi-powered rail guns(one shot killed you)... it was pretty intense as there were 35 people in there and the map is by no means large meaning when you spawned you had to move fast or be cut down, and the safest parts of the map involved jumping on jump pads to get to it, once you jumped you were a very easy target.
The only strategy I had was to get to these safe spots then sit there snipping people as they tried to get up, a difficulty arose when four or more tried at once and someone spawned up there... hence not winning...but still it was awesome fun.
Well better finish this post as power is off in 1 minute...will add a little on our journey there after I get home.
Peace out all.

It is 7am, why am I up at this un-godly hour?
Well today I got to my first Sgl a LAN party of large proportions for Australia, 550 odd people...and Fiona and I are two of them :)
Should be good actually posting from Spidey today as R2D2 is being slowed by a last minute file transfer and spidey is quick despite receiving the last minute file transfer and defragging and virus scanning, all part of my little check-up before I go to a LAN, sweet oh well the alarm went off better go.
Peace out all.

You know it is bad when
You know it is bad when you start a class and the first words out of a teachers mouth are "Have any of you not touched a computer before" I was stunned...for you see I am starting a part time Network Engineering course at Tafe(sorta community college) and well I would expect people who are doing said course to be well into pc's in a big way, turns out most are...
At least tonight she the teacher was more apathetic to our abilities saying she would fix it next week so we could move at our own pace...
But the other nights teacher was too busy espousing the virtues of office, geez what does she work for MicroSoft...well she did say she worked on a helpdesk maybe microsoft...see she was saying that MS office was good felt like espousing open offices auto complete but anyway... and she ended this little diatribe with and in august office 2003 comes out and I recommend you should buy it WTF? Did I walk on to the set of an infomercial...ah well...LOL
Oh yeah check out this link; BuyMusic.com good that they have finally done it but I don't think it is going to work because of a few little things on there help page: If I lose the song, can I download it again?
Once a song is on your computer, it is your responsibility. If your computer is lost or damaged, BuyMusic.com is not obligated to replace your music after it has been downloaded.
Umm exsqueeze me, what happens if I format the pc I have downloaded it on, then the song will no longer work and sucks to be me I have to buy it again, and if you agree with Microsoft you should be formatting and reinstalling every 6months, this means constant re-purchases... sorry but that ain't gonna work... and funnily although they are pushing MS's wma standard the site plays an mp3 when it starts up...LOL
Can I buy music from outside the United States?
No. Due to licensing restrictions, BuyMusic.com content is available only to residents of the United States.
Heheh another example of international ending at the USA's borders...not everyone is american people, actually most of us aren't there are more chineese and inidans..get over yourselves.
Ah well maybe after this does nothing to stem the tide of illegal music then they may actually release a version that is usable...
Peace out all, even you money hungry RIAA people.

Saturday Scrupples
I am doing them on Saturday again, phworrr...LOL
1.That was good for me. Was it good for you too?" Well it wasn't. Do you say so?
Of course honesty is the best policy, I wouldn't say it right then and there otherwise it may ruin the moment, give it a bit...
2.You lose a gold watch and are reimbursed by the insurance company. A month later you find the watch. Do you return the money?
Being that only at the start of this year we were robbed and had a bitch of a time getting replacements back, I would be honest if just for other people's sake, being dishonest like this is what hinders the legitimate workings of our very society...*sits back down*
3.You recognize your favourite movie star having a quiet coffee at a deli. She is incognito to avoid being bothered. Do you approach her?
I probably would, but I would try not to let on to everyone else who she was, got to have that autograph :P
Hmm those ones were easy, not like the last few ah well.
Oh yeah I promised I'd post that gif that someone here at work made and hacked onto my site so here goes.
Hmm some wasted talent there methinks...LOL
Peace Out all.

Someone actually took effort...on me
My site was "hacked" this morning...funky... Fiona doesn't think so but anyway it was "hacked" for a matter of two hours, by "hacked" I mean someone where I work, who will remain nameless logged into the webserver where this page is and changed the picture that you see up the top there...as some of you may know this has been my signature picture of this website for 4 years now, anyway all they did was replace it with a silly remake of the picture which they had changed into an animated gif, with sick flashing lights...ewww...how 1337...But seriously I think it is flattering that they spent there time to make the picture and then further time to put it up...heheh I'll post there artistic skills when I can get the image from work.
Ah well onto other security issues, I suggest you go here and select probe my ports to see if you have any vulnerabilities that need fixing, you probably do...
Microsoft with the help of a hacker group(is there anything hackers can't do) discovered a bug in every version of windows bar the 9x series I suggest you gohere and get the fix.
Well enough of this good samaritinism, Fiona has become a gamer and is beaconing me to play quake3...
Peace Out all, especially you good little hackers.
