Yes it's Stu, the entertainment box, been wanting to make one of these for
a while, So that I can hook it up to my tv and sit on the couch watching dvd's,
listening to mp3s, and wathcing video clips, did it with r2d2 for a while
but the box is too clunky and the system too dedicated to other things to
pry it away form its current tasks. Besides a dedicated entertainment box
leads to being able to leave other boxes were they are doing what there doing
while watching dvd's etc. Was going to be another homemade perspex slim case,
but I procurred from when I worked with wds a desktop case, so I am just gonna
build a low spec cpu/board with haupage250 pvr card so that I can record tv
to the hard drive like tivo :P, and with dvd drive video in/out card and lan
card as well as surround sound card plugged into huge tv, and surround system,
all of this is yet to be purchased except the case. Here is a piccy, another

Well update new job, new freebies, I got an IBM desktop case complete
with well everything inside, I put in more ram and a faster (1ghz) cpu
and bought an AverMedia DVB-t 771 capture card, I have played with
MythTV a little bit, and haven't been satisfied, though it has recorded
and played and even transfered the recordings across the network. I am
going to reinstall on a bigger hard drive for more viewing pleasure.
