I
have always imagined laptops to be the ideal in computing, when I was
about 10 I turned a toy suit-case into an imaginary computer, screen
made of paper and cellophane and keyboard made of paper, I used to
imagine what it would be like to be able to play computer games on this
anywhere.
Now to come back to the point, I have been a laptop user since Kitt
Mark1, I think 2001, I have always had 2nd hand laptops, Kitt Mark2
wasn't but it was a bad replacement due to Kitt Mark1 being stolen.
After using MrHankey for a while it died, after its screen mysteriously
ceased working, enter Gandalf the white, my current laptop, new,
and more powerful than most peoples desktops... and some peoples
servers (including my own as of writing this)

I do use it on the bus(like now) and many other places, to play
games, and do work, read emails etc, my boyish dream come true right?
Nope it wasn't as easy as Fiona's IBM to get working, moral of the
story, stick with non-brand spanking hardware, and stuff that has had
the bugs worked out online. It was not as if I hadn't done my research,
I just though I could fix it, and I guess I sorta have now, as I write
this on Gandalf.
