My baby Feels the need, the need for speed.

Fiona has always liked alfas... always. Seeing as the one she really wants, a 1972-82 gtv in red is sorta hard to come by now-days, and we need to save up for one I thought it would be a fitting theme for her computer that she built.

Here are the specs:

Alfa is Fiona's New PC, built at the same time as Spidey with the same components, the paint worked a lot better. I made the window myself, completely custom.
Here are the stats anyway:
-AMD XP2600.
-256mb PC2700 DDR ram.
-GeforceMX 5200, with 128mb of ddr.
-Epox 8RGA+ with onboard 6.1 sound, and onboard 10/100 NIC.
-80GB Western Digital hard drive with 8mb of cache.
-Alfa Red paint job.
-Funky fan grill.
-Official Alfa Badge
-LANing case with handle, compact and light design, with 3 case fans(one is awseome though; a Vantec Tornado) all controlled by the homemade fan controller, and a 400w power supply.
-LiteON 16 speed DVD-drive.
-Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
-17' LG monitor that I picked up...for a bargain...nothing.
-Shares adsl and network with R2D2, Spidey and KittMKII.
-Blue LED's for internal light.
-Homemade Fancontroller.
-Ubuntu Breezy Badger

Coming Soon:
-Blue Cold Cathode for more light.
-Gigabit NIC.
-19" monitor.

Bot myself and Fiona modded the case, here are the steps we took.

The ultimate fan and filter we got for the blowhole the filter gives a radiator effect, 120mm
This is the filter that is used inside the case, 80mm
Here is the 120mm sunon on it's own it is a loud beast
The tornado I decided on as due to the side window I knew it would need excess airflow. This thing is damned loud and powerful pushing almost as much air as the 120mm sunon above.
This is the cheap little blue LED contraption, not too bad for light, but need more, so Fiona wants to get a blue Cold Cathode.
Here is the ruber I got from clark ruber it ended up being perfect for the custom window on the side, wanted it too look like a car window hence the custom window.
Here is the window after cutting and spraying
Here is the underside of the window, it is resting on the top of the case with the handle we attached to the case.
Here is the blowhole just before I put the fan and filter on.
Heres the front of the case with the official Alfa badge on the front, the top drive bay can't be used due to the 120mm fan.
Here is the window in place, with the LED thing in place, not to bad but need some light at the bottom.
Here is the complete system, we picked up a free 17" monitor from a kind business that had thought it died... sweet.
I finally made the fan controller both for Alfa and Spidey with Fiona's help the mod is here.

To do: Get a new mouse as this one isn't as useful as previously thought.
